About Matt Messing

Matt Messing started jamming at the age of nine with his two older brothers, Brian and Kevin. He knew right away that this was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. At a young age, he would rent music equipment and organize events so his and other bands could play for the public. Growing up in Juneau, AK gave him lots of opportunities to play small gigs. When he was about sixteen, he became interested in becoming a song writer and music producer. He moved to Oregon when he was nineteen to pursue this dream. Some of the first bands he recorded were The Daylights, The Jimmies, Thresher, Ellen Whyte & Reflex Blue and Villiage Idiot. Most of the bands he has recorded are rock, blues and punk.
